Flipkart Billion Capture+ goes on sale in India: Price start from Rs. 10,999: specifications, features, launch offers and more

Flipkart -owned smartphone brand Billion launched first smartphone in India in last week, the Billion Capture+ is going up for sale today for the first time. The Billion Capture+ has been launched in two variants – 32GB storage with 3GB RAM priced at Rs 10,999, and 64GB storage with 4GB RAM priced at Rs 12,999. The Billion Capture+ highlight features are dual rear camera, USB Type-C port and comes with Smartron's tronX AI-based Internet of Things platform as well as unlimited free cloud storage.  As for launch offers, Flipkart is providing customers 10 percent instant discount on purchase via HDFC debit or credit card. Purchase via Axis Bank Buzz credit card will make a customer eligible for 5 percent off. Xiaomi Mi A1 with Android One, dual rear cameras launched in India for Rs 14,999


Xiaomi has today launched its first dual-camera and Android One smartphone in India. The smartphone is indeed called the Mi A1. The Mi A1 priced at Rs 14,999 and it will be available via Flipkart, company's official site, Mi Homes and offline retail chains (including Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, LOT, UniverCell, E-Zone, Croma, and Vijay Sales) from 12pm IST on September 12. The smartphone comes in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colour options. Launch offers include up to 300GB of additional 4G data from Airtel. The Xiaomi Mi A1 highlight features are Dual rear camera, stock Android Nougat, USB Type C port. The new Xiaomi Mi A1 is essentially a rebranded Mi 5X (Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 in Chinese market) that was launched in China back in July. While the overall design and specifications and features remain the same, there is one key difference between the Mi 5X and the Mi A1 – Android One. 

The Mi A1 runs on stock Android Nougat 7.1.2, and will be available in India and globally. The phone also comes with Google Assistant and Google Play Protect. The smartphone comes with Google Photos free unlimited high-quality storage. Xiaomi also promises that Android Oreo will be rolled out for Mi A1 before the end of this year. Further, the brand reveals that it will be the first device to come with upcoming Android P version.

Xiaomi Mi A1 specification and features 

The Mi A1 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD display protected by 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. Also on offer is 64GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. It comes with dual graphite sheet, which decreases the temperature by 2-degree. On the audio front, it features with 10V smart power amplifier for high-quality audio, DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm, and support for high impedance headphones.

Coming to highlight feature of the Mi A1 is the dual-camera setup at the back, which comes with a combination of 12-megapixel sensors. The primary sensor sports a wide-angle lens, while the secondary camera offers telephoto lens. The smartphone support 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. The functionality is something similar to what is offered by smartphones like the OnePlus 5 and the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, and there is a dedicated portrait mode too. This mode lets you click photos with DSLR-like bokeh effect. The smartphone bears a 5-megapixel front camera with a real-time beautification mode.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports USB Type-C port, dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, fingerprint sensor placed at a back, 3,080mAh battery and IR Blaster support.
